Proprioception
is essential for our daily life activities. It is suggested that proprioceptive
deficits might occur in people suffering from knee OA. There seems to be some
evidence that exercises may improve clinical outcomes in patients with knee OA.
Nevertheless, there is lack of clear evidence suggesting that proprioceptive
type exercises might be effective in knee OA patients. The purpose of this
study was to determine the effectiveness of proprioceptive exercises for knee
OA using meta-analysis.

Patellar
tendinopathy occurs frequently in jumping (volleyball, basketball) and
endurance (running, triathlon) athletes. Various treatment options are available.
Eccentric exercises have been advocated to be very effective tool, with
research finding proving that notion. Nevertheless, no consensus exists in
regards to what specific prescription should be implemented for this kind of intervention.
Therefore, authors conducted this review to help clinicians make appropriate choices
regarding exact form of eccentric exercise to be used for patients.
Sample exercises and stretches for ITBS.
As usual, at the
end of, let’s call it „ITBS month”, I provide you with the video presenting
sample exercises and stretches for specific injury, ITBS in this case. The
video uploaded here is appropriate as it presents interventions which can be
performed anywhere, are easy to remember and do not cost you anything. Which is
also good about this exercises, is that they can be used as a treatment
procedure, when ITBS is already present, and on the other hand, as a prevention
strategy. Finally, the video address hip musculature weakness which has been
frequently regarded as a risk factor.
